Employer Benefits

Streamlined Hiring Process

Are you spending too much time hiring and rehiring, training and retraining, spending more and more in the search for a workforce that can help you stay competitive? Customized assessments and recruiting services streamline the process and bring trained job seekers who meet your specific requirements to your attention.

Applicant Skill Building

The Talent Development Bridge Training Program is designed to prepare job seekers and assess their work readiness for available job openings. Job seekers are prepared to ensure they have the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to meet your standards.

Those individuals who cannot yet meet your work readiness standards will be referred to the appropriate education and training programs where they can build the knowledge and skills needed to meet those standards.

Work Ready Applicants

The goal of the Talent Development Bridge Training Program is to assess work readiness and to improve the ability of workforce systems to refer work ready applicants. Individuals who have the knowledge, skills, and abilities to meet set standards are certified and then referred to appropriate job openings.

Who We Serve

The YWCA Workforce Development Programs guide job seekers with the knowledge and skills necessary to meet standards for work readiness. This is accomplished through job skills training, case management services, and resources that minimize barriers to employment. The YWCA's primary target population is low income women. However, as a workforce development program provider, the YWCA serves those striving for economic independence regardless of age or gender.

For employers, the Workforce Development program closes the gap between employer needs and the skills of the available workforce. A streamlined hiring process, which includes onsite candidate screenings, placement and retention services are some of the benefits that the YWCA can offer your company. In addition to meeting work readiness standards, the YWCA ensures that applicants meet your company's specific needs.
